Sean Edwards

Post by mightymouse »

Apparently his Wigan deal is off.

Would anybody want him to coach either

A. England?

B. Tigers?

I'd have him as a defence coach for either Tigers or England.

Appearing as Fester in the next Addams family movie?

Teaching a new defensive line to live offside?

My guess would be Wasps!

I'd have him in a heartbeat. Proven international pedigree, has got a team to over perform, look at Wales defense this 6N, they won the slam, despite not looking like world beaters.

He would have been a perfect choice, but too late now, the position has been filled. :smt022

He's an astute tactician and a free agent after the world cup.

He will be looking for something bigger than club defence coach so DOR more likely if he comes to Tigers.

Would be happy to bring him into the England set up too. Gatland would also be an England consideration but I suspect New Zealand may be sounding him out if he returns home.

S.E would be better suited in the English coaching team. And by the weekends showing, we (England) need him.
No nonsense, get down to it, no excuses type of coach.
I am happy the way Tigers defence is improving and SE would have aspirations bigger then Club rugby. :smt019
Dont think Warps could afford him :smt005 :smt005

If I recall correctly, Edwards previously wanted to combine coaching at England and Wasps. The RFU said, no, it was England full time or nothing, then Wales said sure he could do a bit of each. Also per the sometimes reliable Wikipedia his son is in the Wasps academy, so I don’t think the financial abyss they are facing would necessarily preclude his involvement.

Shaun's son left Wasps academy like 3 years ago.

Whoever does employ him will get a gem. He would make a tenacious DOR. and is in the R.C. mould.

Yes please Edwards, I love the idea of some bald bloke dishing it out at Oval Park!
That'd definitely give some of them a need for further phycological evaluation from Mr Jones quack!
