I would welcome anyone who can inject some confidence into both coaches and players. If that is an old head for GM to bounce ideas off and get back some validation of approach then great.
I'm not cynical just experienced

We need an experienced, abrasive outsider to come in as DOR.
It's not just about mentoring Geordie it's also about objectivity in terms of selection - my concern that Geordie is an insider and lacks the experience and with it the strength to make selections that might not be palatable to senior players.
Geordie may not like a DOR being appointed but I think he is wise enough to know he is struggling and having to try and make a team out of a poor squad.
Defensively we have been woeful and there is nothing to merit the continuation of Blake's contract.
The same could be said of the forwards as a group so again is there any point sticking with the existing coach?
The scrum has been a strength so Stanko should be safe. I suspect our scrum would benefit from a pair of beefy locks rather than lanky lock/back row utility players.
However if we appoint a DOR he must have the ultimate sanction on who he retains or appoints to the coaching set up.

Interesting, guy is a quality player who mainly plays fullback. With Veainu and Worth being out would make sense. Hopefully we’ll make it more than a short term deal as he has serious talent.JGT57 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 7:11 pm Anyone know of this? I don’t know him.

Google suggests he's a fullback that's also got game time on the wing. He's fallen out of favour at the Scarlets because his match fitness isn't at the level they want. This is what they said when they announced his signing;JGT57 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 7:11 pm Anyone know of this? I don’t know him.

Commenting on the news head coach Wayne Pivac said; "We're delighted to be welcoming Clayton to the Scarlets for the forthcoming season.
"He's a talented player that can play in a number of position across the backline. His flexibility will offer us options, particularly during the international windows. Clayton is an exciting runner with a big kick off both feet and also has match-winning ability."
If this is true then it suggests Worth might be out a while and with TV out for the season and Holmes struggling with a knock a loan signing of a 15 wouldn't be a bad idea. Add some experience to the back three as it wasn't ideal have two rookies back there Vs Saints even if Owolofela was rock solid.

Haven't seen him play for a while but he seemed handy in attack when he used to play in SA, suggests to me Worth and Holmes might both be out for the rest of the SeasonJGT57 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 7:11 pm Anyone know of this? I don’t know him.

looks to have a good dummy and off-load game and also isn't slow but not sure about the high ball and defensive game. just watched the end of the tape and seems ok in defence and a fair left foot

Decent converter too, pretty good loan signing.

Hopefully he will be ok. Maybe this loan move will bring out the best in him.

Clayton can be quite easily spotted in the latest LTTV interview with Murphy, I’d imagine he will be confirmed shortly.

It's almost beyond a joke now how we've STILL only got one signing confirmed for next season. If the possibility of relegation is a factor then the club should at least have the stones to say so.

Other than Hairy Queens who else has announced a host of signings. Pretty sure Exeter Saracens and Gloucester haven’t, why do Tigers have to be any different.CitizenSmiff wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2019 6:07 pm It's almost beyond a joke now how we've STILL only got one signing confirmed for next season. Slightly different tack Noel Reid looked good in the 2nd half for Leinster at the weekend, very much a second ball player, but didn’t shirk his defensive duties
