I'm going to take the 5th on this one and let's see what happens. I expect it to be just brushed under the carpet anyway so what's the point?!

No doubt other Saracens players have similar housing schemes as I doubt Wray would not want his boy's homeless & on the streets! Let us assume Jim Hamilton's house was say £450k when he moved to Saracens and once he left in Dec 2017 it was sold for £587,500 in Feb 2018 well the difference is possibly a good "retirement present!"
I wonder who the Saracens Salary Cap Manager is ?? Wray????? Brush under the carpet, try a Dyson! Ooops sorry that's Bath tool. :smt018

Is anyone surprised? It is just so obvious that Sara-sins have been abusing the system.

If found to be in breach, they should be docked 30points and relegated to the Championship next season, on top of a massive fine.

What can you do at this point except laugh, doesn't take a forensic accountant to figure out that teamsheet doesn't make any financial sense. Either nothing will come of it or the rules will change to make it magically OK. Myself I'd take our possibly incompetent yet probably honest BoD.

Perhaps there should be a more appropriate name for 'creative' accounting as currently it sounds almost desirable. :smt003

So deduct them 30 points which puts them on to 28 points which would currently put them in 10th and then relegate them anyway? It's one or the other if you're going down that route.

Instead of just making up numbers, here is the points deduction table from the SCR although the disciplinary panel do have the power of variation:

Level of breach Points Sanction
£0 to £349,999.99 0
£350,000 to £399,999.99 5
£400,000 to £449,999.99 10
£450,000 to £499,999.99 15
£500,000 to £549,999.99 20
£550,000 to £599,999.99 25
£600,000 to £649,999.99 30
Over £650,000 35

My money is on absolutely nothing visible happening.
I am neither clever enough to understand nor stupid enough to play this game

IF and a big IF an investigation finds Sarries in breach, Then relegation without correcting the issue would mean, in real terms,
the squad remains and a season out of prem , quick and easy promotion back to Prem to continue run.
I see not a slap on the wrist but an argument to keep them trading and amendments to allow clubs to compete.
How else have Sarries and others been able to have the squads without prior investigation. Smacks of elitism.

Same. Wouldn't bet my house on it. Or Billy's. Or Wiggy's. Or Maro's. Etc etc etc.

My view, as has already been said, is that it will indeed be swept under the carpet, or they will just merely receive a token slap on the wrist.
