TV - no, not the telly, the missing player
Injury news on Telusa doesn't sound promising:
"It is a serious injury Telusa has had and we are not expecting him back in the next few weeks. It will probably be into March, April," Murphy said.

Sometimes you fear that 'has retired' news............
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

I also have that fear about Dave Denton given the time he has been out.

Murphy says, "Will Spencer (lock) should be touch and go for the game next week. Tatafu Polota-Nau (hooker) and David Denton (back-row) the same. Guy Thompson (back-row) should be fit in the next few weeks, too, so we are beginning to see some guys coming back to fitness in the forwards, but not so much in the backs."
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

I just hope he and Denton are fully fit for next season.

It was announced back in December when there was talk of injury dispensation signings in the back three - thankfully Sarto and Varndell are now on-board - that Veainu would be out until February at the earliest.
So March/April isn't behind schedule for a serious injury that required surgery. It's just such a shame that the freak foot injury came immediately after he recovered from a bad concussion.
His appearance record has been great prior to this season.
2017/18 - 21 appearances (Despite a broken jaw that he recovered from rapidly)
2016/17 - 14 appearances
2015/16 - 26 appearances
A wonderful player and I hope he stays for at least the two years left on his contract.

Yes it did. In his case I seem to recall that it was something to do with a hairline stress fracture that kept re-fracturing despite all sorts of precautions being taken.

with no evidence the pitch was a factor.
When injuries occur on natural turf, no-one questions the pitch, just because it happened on an artificial grass pitch doesn’t de facto mean it was the cause.
Correlation doesn’t equal causation.

The rumour I have heard is that if anyone will be forced to retire due to injury it will be Matt Tait.
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity
Re: TV - no, not the telly, the missing player
Yep on retirement said - "I’ve been advised that the stress fracture is not going to stand up to the demands of a full-time career"
However with TV Murphy said at the time ""He had a torn ligament in his foot." and had an operation.
I wouldn't have thought it would take this long so must be some complications.
