Thanks Ellis for the time and effort in putting the updates on here.

I'm reserving judgment on the recruitment until we know what the results are.

I've been critical of the recruitment policy over the past few years (others on here aren't so critical - no need to start that debate again) and don't believe we've done a good enough job possibly/probably not helped by a regular change in coaching staff so this is a key year for the Club and GM to stabilise and bring in players that can begin the process of building the Club back into shape.

Regarding the announcement of signings, think about the way Freddie Burns was treated by Gloucester Fans when it was known he was leaving them for Leicester and the way some fans on here reacted when Saints announced Jamie Gibson was joining them, some called him a Judas and advocated booing him when he ran onto the pitch in our remaining games. Not surprising some players want to keep their move quiet as long as possible.
I thought the forum as usual got reasonably straight answers to questions asked, I have to say I expected some more searching questions, maybe the fact that the coaching team have only been together for a short time led to the audience being kind on this occasion, next time should be interesting.

Thank you Ellis for your superb coverage of the forum.

As a matter of interest, why were there no board members there?
