Same height and weight as Guy Thompson - a powerful ball carrier but, at 6'0", he won't be doing much in the lineout. Let's hope other signings mean he won't have to!RagingBull wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 2:02 pm https://twitter.com/IlltudDafydd/status ... 1091703808

At least with Williams and Kitchener leaving it does look like the club is trying to address the underpowered pack. Obviously we don’t know who their replacements are going to be, but the fact they are going does give hope.

Williams and Kitch ----> Green and Taufua
In terms of using the salary cap wisely that would be excellent work from the club.
It would be especially exciting to see a back rower of Taufua's quality incoming with a marquee spot still available for the forwards.

Taufua does tend to prefer 6, playing in the strongest Crusaders back row with Todd and Reid.
Maybe an indication that Denton, if he ever clears the concussion protocols, will move to 8.
Khalamafoni has many strengths but Dynamic ball carries isn’t one of them

If Taufua is joining great, something which I’ve advocated for a long time and if members will remember I made a video on him which did pretty well.

6. Taufua
7. Thompson
8. Denton
Would be a good back row.
Although the back row depth would be a worry. Assuming BOC is off.
6. Taufua, Lavin,
7. Thompson, Reffell, Gough
8. Denton, Kalamafoni, Tuilagi, Smith
Personally think we do need another 8 to come in.

8. ?, Denton, Tuilagi, Smith
Would make me feel a bit better with most of them likely to be available all season.

Who would you like to see brought in as well? I would like Selevasio Tolofua from Toulouse, but I doubt we could match his wage that he is currently on. He might not be on ridiculous money as he’s still a development player I believe but if Taufua is marquee then...RagingBull wrote: ↑Mon Feb 04, 2019 4:44 pm 6. Tuafua

Yes,as good as Jordan is he's not a marquee player imo

Depends if weve got the money for a marquee, or whether we are just going to use it for another squad player... I.e another player on say 300k as opposed to 6,7,800k.

I totally believe we need an out and out number 8.

Yeah agreed. Very good player but he’s never been capped and shouldn’t be demanding marquee wages. Imagine he will be on around what Williams was being paid plus some.
Wonder if Fitzgerald and O’Connor are staying or leave too?
