Replacing Ford would cost more than he's on.
Owen Williams is on £400k at Gloucester.
Sopoaga is on over NZD$1million which is over £500k.
If Cips goes to France it will be for more than either.

I’d be more than happy to see Lenny off to pastures new, less so than his brother but we do need a new club captain asap next season.

The point is whoever the player the club shouldn't be held to ransom in that it's put between a rock and a hard place financially.
How is a struggling club supposed to move forward when so heavily tied up financially in just a handful of players!
Genge is a prime example of the sort of hungry and potential senior international player that Leicester should be trying to get more of.
There comes a time when they all want more but keeping the ball rolling and the team evolving in that way is vital and if you are successful then it also has a knock on effect as others will stay and come for a little less.
The Vunipola's are prime examples of what sort of potential you can poach with good timing, Mako from Bristol and Billy from Wasps.
The successful Leicester teams were built around this type of quality poaching and Sarries are to an extent.
Also it's combined with quality homegrown players who are there because they are aiming to make them proper good and not just to try and make some profit out of academy credits!

Because the current one is not a good one and never has been.

Whoever the individual players are , I think it important for the balance of the Squad that we lose 2 or 3 of our England players as soon as possible . It is lunacy to have so much wage cap tied up with so few players who miss so much of the Season . the 2 who I would pay extra to keep are Genge and Ford , the rest are replaceable.

TY should be club captain but never matchday captain nowhere near good enough imo.

I think it would be sheer lunacy to bump Ford's money up, considering the mega bucks he is on now, which is far too much anyway. Good he may be, but not that good. We are not as rich as most of the Premiership sides, and should be investing in newly emerging talent, both here at Leicester, and other clubs.

Ford has been the player of he season for us, deserves every penny he can get. We would be nowhere without him.

He did speak quite well of his leadership qualities but on the pitch his relationship with referees is downeight awful and he never seems to be able to galvanise his team, Cole and Ford seem to be more pragmatic and energetic.
