I watch a lot of SR,he's a top player! Posters mocking JT when we've had the likes of Williams and co at blindside :smt017

You are easily excited though aren't you!

I'd never heard of Tuafua before watching a cooking show, apparently it's a meat substitute and a good source of protein!
Not sure that one even deserves a pity laugh!!
Your uncertainty is understandable this week Cardiff Tig!
Tuafua should be a huge success, like that other super rugby import, Shields!

I'm not a super rugby fan, hit and miss in my opinion, and I much prefer home grown players, nothing wrong in that!

I respect that, but he's one of our own now and he's a top player. Exactly what we need at this moment.

We all prefer home grown players but there's no explosive players with the physicality of Taufua ready to step into our backrow at present. He is a player I'm really looking forward to see in a Tigers shirt. If you like what Denton has brought to the club when he's been fit then this guy is better.

Out of interest, what kinda cash can a player expect to pocket from a testimonial?

Depends on the player how much work he and his testimonial committee are prepared to put in and what events are put on.
Unfortunately due to the number of games already played I think testimonial games are a think of the past, but I would have thought a well run one should get into 6 figures

I've not seen a lot of SR but watched the 'saders v blues last weekend. JT didn't have his best game I suspect and was subbed reasonably early. Hope that was tactical and not an injury.

I thought he was ok ball in hand but as you say, didn't have his best game. Tends to stay out wide a lot, he's almost Manu in reverse.

I think the way he plays an hour is the most you get out of him. Must be all clear injury-wise as he's starting again tomorrow.

Good news injury wise. Early on I thought he was pretty destructive and carried well. Going to be exciting watching him at WR Im just hoping we can keep Thompson, Spencer and Evans fit. Adding a big 8 like Akira Ioane would be too much to ask I suppose.

Depends really, if anywhere else has put an offer for him, how much the Blues are paying him and how much Steve Hansen has peed him off. I’d go for him if we can.

Ioane will stay in NZ, 24 Read is leaving NZ a leaves that number 8 spot open.

Hansen is leaving end of RWC anyway.

We really do need a top quality number 8, who mixes things up a bit.
