Imagine, regardless of Manu being off or not, we’ll be in the market for another centre? Look short at both 12 / 13 even if Manu was to stay...
Toomua - OUT
Manu - OUT
Owen - OUT
Smith, Tait - RET
Reid - IN
Taute - IN
We'll see more of Hardwick, Worth and Owolofela as they develop so they'll come into the centre mix. Tait hasn't been an option all season so it's only Owen and Smith we're losing. Reid replacing Toomua. Taute will effectively replace Owen then the youngsters will cover for Smith.
If Manu goes there will be a lot of cap to spend on a new centre and no shortage of options looking north. I'd prefer to keep Manu though.

Taufua isn’t joining us till November if he gets into the ABs squad. If Manu does similar there is no difference.
Pretty sure they are covered under rfu insurance during test matches training camps etc.
Quite right - there is no difference but who is paying Taufua's salary? - I can't believe it is the Crusaders. Therefore if he is going to Racing, we should not be paying Manu either - spend the money freed up on his replacement.
If manu does decide to go to secure his families future then good luck to him. I am sure that with the money freed up we would be able to bring in a world class player in an area that needs strengthening

I wouldn't be so sure. It will be very, very difficult to replace Manu.
GM has already stated that they can't match the french offers, but would hope other things might keep him here. If he does leave I hope he doesn't stay in the prem, but wish him well.

I've heard several Prem clubs are sniffing around Tuilagi too, some of which we also cannot compete with salary-wise.
Other Premiership teams cannot make him their marquee signing so it would be a good size chunk of their salary cap though.

I imagine we will pay from when he joins. I can’t see him in the ABs squad tbh as good as he is

When he goes it will be to France he won’t move to another English club
That's most likely however, if he wants to keep playing for England then he has to stay in England. If another Premiership team offer him more than Tigers have offered him, then why wouldn't he join another premiership team?

I just don’t think it’s in the family make up. I may be wrong of course but the feeling I get is France
