I assume McMillan is off and it is now possible that Kerr and TPN will be at the RWC. Just a bit of cheap cover for Stevens and Youngs?

Summer 2020 we will probably be doing some significant hooker shopping with TPN and maybe Youngs moving on/retiring. Having a reliable back up under contract early might help.

Has Stevens returned to the team following injury yet? Hopefully it's nothing too serious.

Unless he wants to play 15 you'd have to think that's an odd decision to talk to us. Ford will wear the 10 shirt when fit and Davies isn't built to play 12 so he'd spend a lot of time on the bench. Glaws could work well for him as he'd suit their style of rugby.

Odd time to all but end his international aspirations. After the world cup Wales will have a new attacking minded head coach who might appreciate him more than conservative Gatland.

He might want free reign on selection, whether he gets it is another matter. Might be a fixed number allowed from outside of Wales. If you're on the bench as Ford's understudy you aren't going to get picked whatever the rules. Glaws if Cips goes could be a great chance for him.

The more I think about it the more I wish the Hamish Watson rumour to be true. More you hear the more it sounds Evans is 100% going. Watson is a seriously underrated player who in my mind is one of the top opensides in NH. Unlucky not to tour with the Lions, such an abrasive flanker and good on the floor. Out of season end of the season and rumours he doesn’t get on with Cockerill.

I seriously doubt a player who rejected clubs like Clermont and looks set to stay at Edinburgh dislikes cockers.

Cipriani is always rumoured to be leaving wherever he is. Generally it’s true too!
