Very strong squad, much better than 2018 when we were decimated by injuries. Mercer should have got a look in over Earl but can’t complain.

Very happy Devoto got picked, always impresses me. Big lad with great handling ability. Pity Williams from Newcastle is injured as he would have been pushing for selection.

Devoto is out of contract this summer.

Let's hope we are too!

Good squad, but they will be up against it in Dublin!

The team I'd pick would be:

Vunipola
George
Cole
Itoje
Lawes
Wilson
Clifford
Vunipola

Youngs
Ford
Slade
Tuilagi
May
Thorley
Daly

Replacements
Genge
Williams
Cowan-Dickie
Kruis
Curry
Robson
Teo
Ashton

I may consider Devoto instead of Teo on the bench as he can cover both fly half and centre but Slade could step into fly half if Ford went off injured. The lack of other fly half options in the squad isn't great so I'd have picked a proper fly half in the squad to cover Ford, probably Cipriani but with the options Eddie has picked, Devoto and Slade would need to be the back up fly halves to Ford.

It might be the team you'd pick, but obviously won't be the one we see. Farrell is Captain so I'd say it's quite likely he'll be in the match day squad and possibly even starting! :smt002

Devoto came from Bath, not sure why he left before so likelyhood of going back, but I'd assume (sadly) he's not coming North
I only live there to wind up the population!

You cannot have an England team without Farrell, he is world class.

Leaving apart the ridiculous anti Farrell bias, you might not like him as a person but he is a fantastic rugby player I think Jones will remain faithful initially with the side that did ok in November.
I would think we will see
Mako
George
Sinckler
Itoje
Launchbury
Wilson
Curry
Billy
Youngs
Farrell
Daly
Too
Slade
May
Nowell

Bench of : Cowan Dickie, Moon, Cole, Kruis, Lawes, Robson,Ford, Tuilagi

Not saying I agree with it but t think that will be his first selection

I picked the team that I would pick with the players that have been put in the squad, not the team I think Jones will pick. Farrell will definitely be starting, unfortunately.
