Academy strip

Post by dpoc74 »

Is it possible to buy the academy strip anywhere?
I love the shirt but haven’t found it available anywhere?
Thanks

Suggest you contact Tigers Customer Service Dept or ring the club shop.

Unlikely it would be available. If they were to sell that strip it would outsell the actual first team shirt!!!

Thanks. Very similar to the development and Academy shirts back in the day and to the Lutterworth RFC shirt.

I did a while back but if more people did I'm sure it might have a better chance of getting it made available.

Is it the actual shade of green that people prefer to our current shade of green or just a nostalgic thing?

The current strip could count as our dark shirt and one in this shade could be our light option :smt003

Probably a nostalgic thing for me but my favorite (and first) Tigers shirt was from about 1994, I literally wore it to death whilst travelling around the world in 98/99.

This one but I made it into a short sleeved shirt:

Give me a lighter shade of green and a black away shirt (Like the Black European one) any day over our recent ones.

I think the academy have always played in old style shirts. Pretty sure a few years back they were playing in a red shirt that was once the change strip

A stand out shirt. Fresh looking and inspiring.
I also had one Back in the Day and I too wore it to death. Proud shirt.
Still got it in wardrobe.... bit worse fr wear but still turns heads...

I'm sure it could be a first team shirt with the modern cut of cloth. :smt023 :smt023
