Why have we made a signing like this, he is past his sell by date, he couldn't defend years ago, how is he going to cope now, shows our ambition, very poor by the club, is he a friend of Ben Kay?
Re: TV replaced by TV??
Who said he had signed?
His family still live local and his lad plays for our (my) club.

Re: TV replaced by TV??
I would be very surprised if we signed him. However, when Wasps were based here in High Wycombe, I saw him play a good few times, and he still looked good, especially against us, but he is getting older now, and his pace will drop. As a twenty minute sub he would fit the bill though.

Tom Varndell is back in England, living in Bristol. Tigers will offer him the chance to train with them and keep himself fit to put himself in the shop window. Tigers have some A League games coming up that he may feature in in order to do that. Watch this space.

Re: TV replaced by TV??
Gm was just asked about this by BT and said he'd be training and playing in A League games to "put himself in the shop window"
Re: TV replaced by TV??
It would be wrong to assume that he has been signed as a first team player. It could be that extra bodies are required on the training paddock and will allow other players not to be used in the A team when they could be on the verge of the senior squad.

Great to have him back of course, maybe he can pass on some wisdom to our young'uns, but as far as injury dispensations go I've seen better than an old boy and a lad nursing a serious shoulder problem.
