We’d need Tom Croft our of retirement too.

Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 4
Ha sad but easily the worst back 5 by a country mile. The only players who deserve to be there are Thompson, Denton and Spencer. Honourable mention to O’Connor but he is rarely fit and firing. Wells, Kalamafoni and Evans are good squad players, but nothing more, yet Wells and Kalamfoni are in people starting XVs shows the lack of quality.fortysix wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 5:32 pm The back 5 plus reserves bar Thompson/ Denton currently operating are the worst ever in the Tigers history.
Loads of old players must be furious that the famous legacy of having the nastiest toughest bunch you dont want to play against turned around into the lightest nicest easiest pack to come up against.
Yesterday was embarrassing.

That's harsh on Evans, if he stays fit he could well be a contender for the England 7 shirt with Underhill and CurryLeicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 6:37 pmHa sad but easily the worst back 5 by a country mile. Breaking news, we have re-signed Jonno, Back. Corry, Kay, Underwood, Goneva and any other ex tiger left alive. Joke its not.
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity

To win is not as important as playing with style!

Depends on ones definition of exciting.JP14 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 3:58 pmExcitingRagingBull wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 3:27 pm Reckon we might have a few surprises (and some not so surprising) this week
For some maybe others not so much.

That last comment sounds completely uninspiring RB... Here’s hoping for good news either way

I’ll add, it’s also unlikely we’ll see Jesse Kriel at WR any time soon. French press reckon he’s signed with Meyer at Stade

I love surprises, plus I’m a realist, I understand that we can’t sign galacticos all the time. Look at Alex Dombrandt, how many Quins fans looked at his signing and thought “meh”. And look at him now, although I saw his potential.RagingBull wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 8:08 pmDepends on ones definition of exciting.JP14 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 3:58 pmExcitingRagingBull wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 3:27 pm Reckon we might have a few surprises (and some not so surprising) this week

Agreed, he's been a rare example of a player who regularly makes a positive impact during our recently poor performances.kpj tiger wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 7:10 pmThat's harsh on Evans, if he stays fit he could well be a contender for the England 7 shirt with Underhill and CurryLeicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Mon Dec 31, 2018 6:37 pmHa sad but easily the worst back 5 by a country mile. Carries well, links with the backs well, has fantastic line speed in defence and knows when to attack a breakdown. If Will stays fit then he's a fantastic openside ready to fill a spot in our starting XV long term.

Ok, missed Spencer and possibly Evans but they hardly ever are seen..Murphy has a LOT to answer for as he has been here for 20 flipping years...

It seems as though Sale have signed all 3 Du Preez brothers for next season.
