Fantasy- if you could

Post by brooksey845 »

If you could sign one current player in our current plight who would it be? Money no object and contracts no object. Was chatting about this down the pub last night.

Fair play! You could sign any player in the world and you choose a completely unknown guy in Maro Otoje. That's thinking outside the box! :smt023

As it's fantasy so therefore not taking into account we would lose the player to international duty, I'd spend the money on keeping Toomua here.

Malcolm Marx. Awful performance v England aside we'd be getting a top drawer hooker plus breakdown artist in the same package.

I'd sign someone of character who'd demand performances from his team mates - someone like Retallick, Michael Hooper or a fully fit David Pocock would do nicely.
I saw Marika Vunibaka play

Put Johnno in a time machine and beam into the side.

Similarly with Wilko?

Failing time travel I'd agree with Retallick.

Any of the following:

RG Snyman - big nasty forward and only 23 years old
Asafo Aumua - would walk into any team in the prem and start
Akira Ioane - move aside Kieran Reid

Ultimate fantasy would be Rene Ranger in his prime...

Whilst I like the Snyman idea if go for Peter O'Mahony every time. Leader, great at the lineout, tackle all day, competes at the breakdown, physical and aggressive.

The Barrett brothers as a package or the Whitelock brothers.

It would have to be Retallick if just one.

Rene Ranger in his prime a good shout, mad in attack line another 7 in defence.
To win is not as important as playing with style!
