I don't disagree with anything that Genge says, in its full context it makes a lot of sense and he is a player worth hearing.
It's a refreshing change from the usual half pint and prawn sandwich stories that we get served.
Of course some fans will pick pieces out that supports their own personal agenda's and it's already started from the usual suspect looking on here, they need to start letting the viagra wear off before logging on!

Genge isn’t happy. He feels contracts aren’t worth anything, players and coaches aren’t respected and loyalty is a mythical quality in the club. Club spirit has evaporated.

Odd - that’s how a number of fans feel. One could paraphrase his feelings and words for a growing proportion of the fan base.

He is entitled to his opinion and so are we - universally, he is loved by the fans. But if he is aware of how the fans feel, why aren’t others higher up?

I am even more determined to make my protest at 70 minutes tomorrow and leave my seat and watch in the Final Whistle. Because Ian a fan and I care as well.

I take it people who agree with what Genge has said will also agree with the part where he said turning our fortunes around will take time? Therefore, I expect people will be patient and not expect instant success and consistent performances? Therefore, they won't be over critical and keep playing a blame game?

Perhaps I'm expecting too much. Yes, I think I probably am!

You can’t build a culture and identity with the amount of players coming and going every 12 months which seems to be a point he’s alluding to.

If GM is sorting it then my worries stated on the rumours thread would be reduced because as long as a dozen players come and go every summer there’s no chance of continual improvement and the likes of Genge will eventually get frustrated and leave.

Ellis argues differently but the recruitment strategy over many years simply hasn’t worked and that is a key factor in how I read Genges loyalty comments

No. No idea. Scott1 was the one who was told about viagra yesterday so presumably you mean him?

Loyalty is a 2 way street. Its earned rather than gifted. Seems thats where Gengey thinks its failed for the previous 3 or more years.

Where have I said that? All I've said is how do you know the players we have signed, weren't the best available to us?

Well if you've not got the guts to put a name to your criticism, then what do you expect?

Well I presume you're the same on the internet as you are when having a conversation face to face?

You're still yet to put a name to your criticism. Most people would say you're afraid to, in which case, you shouldn't have made the comment in the first place.

Seriously though a very interesting interview with Gengey. It's obvious things have not been right with the squad in terms of morale and togetherness, I've posted a few times now saying they need to do more socially, team building, whatever you want to call it, but get that Sarries wolf pack mentality.....we used to have it, ask Johno.

Regarding fans criticising the team, it is our right as loyal supporters to have a moan occasionally, express our opinion on what is wrong etc....but personal abuse directed towards any player is always wrong. It's fine to make the observation; "Why does YBY seem to play better for England than Tigers?" but it would be wrong to say YBY is not trying at Tigers or he doesn't care etc...

Like all these things there is a fine line and the vast majority of us know what that is, instinctively. As for the morons that take to twitter, directly criticising players and coaches; they hide behind the anonymity of a keyboard, and have no empathy with the words they type, just plain impolite and thick to be honest.
