Second year running we've beaten Gloucester in the final yet are massively down on their England representation at under 18 though. Strange, no?

Not really. Let's be honest, you know how the system works. Talent be :censored:. Have the right name, right connections......the English disease rugby has suffered from the 1880s.

Jamie Taylor (Academy head Coach) will leave some big shoes to fill for whoever replaces him next season.

He's gone doing some olympic stuff I think.

Odd time to take a job like that. Those roles are normally circular in four year blocks. To have something like that come up with a year to go suggests either something isn't well in which we association he's joining or someone's been poached by another country.

The academy has been going from strength to strength recently. Real shame to lose him.
