Disappointing to get over to Worcester to find several Leicester people there but initially to be told kick off due to be on the practice pitch postponed then an hour later informed game re-scheduled for Monday on the main artificial pitch which apparently could not be played on on Saturday as it needed protecting for the Prem' Cup game against Wasps today.

I know that feeling, and it's extremely frustrating.

Good read for those interested.

IMO it's been noticeably the difference between Sale academy and ours since we have signed him from them.
Him and Jamie Taylor do a lot of work.

Late change Rowntree out Singer in.

Also RugbyPass final day of filming their series on the Tigers academy. (Hamilton is leading it and it should be a good watch)

Another good interview.
Good to see Matt Smith has been coaching the academy backs.
Suspect that will be his full time job next season.

Good start https://twitter.com/LeicesterTigers
2' - Try Sam Costelow + Con
We are on the board with the first TRY of the game, after the ball is moved wide to the right quickly off a scrum midfield and then passed back in for the inside centre to run in untouched!
7-0
8' - Try Joe Browning + Con Costelow
We have a second after a brilliant piece of individual defensive skill from centre Ronnie Du Randt, who makes a tackle inside the Gloucester 22 and jumps to his feet to make the steal before popping the pass for Browning.
14-0
13' - Pen Costelow
The inside centre (L) adds three to our tally, extending the lead to seventeen points and extending his own tally to twelve. [17-0]
17-0
32' - Try Joe Browning + Con Costelow
The left winger (K) has his second after the ball is moved to the left in a brilliantly executed set play from the line-out on the right hand side of the field, finding the speedster out wide to run it!
24-0

Half Time Tigers 24 - Gloucester 0

Sounds like a great start in attack, followed by 20 minutes of great defence and a clinical Browning try to finish off the half.

...and here's a comment from one rugby writer to warm the cockles:

"Most impressive thing about this Leicester side is that, yes, they are physically-dominant at this level and whilst that won’t necessarily translate to the seniors, they have the technical ability in abundance, too."

36' - Pen Costelow
The second half is underway at Allianz Park, with Sam Costelow kicking deep and Emeka Ilione turning the ball over at the first ruck!! Penalty awarded our way!
The Welsh U20s international adds three to our tally and extends the lead to 27 points.
27-0
38' Try Gloucester + Con
The young Lions have their first try of the afternoon, through Stephen Varney, after a break on half-way ends up with 3-on-1 at the back and the scrum-half runs it over.
27-7
40' - Try Gloucester + Con
Our opponents have a second through left winger Louis Rees-Zammit, again down the left hand side of the pitch from a break on the half-way line.
27-14
45' - Try Archie Vanes + Con Costelow
We have our fourth of the afternoon after a strong, driving maul from the line-out 5m over pushes its way through the Gloucester pack and hooker Archie Vanes dives over!
34-14
Sub x 2 - Two changes from the Tigers coaching staff with Tom Manz and Jack Van Poortvliet coming from the field to be replaced by Will Backhouse and Jonny Law.
50' - Try Gloucester Con missed
The young Lions have another from a driving maul 5m out, this time to hooker Ethan Hunt.
34 - 19
19 mins to play!
Sub Tigers - Matt Potts replaces Harry Glynn in the backline
54' - Penalty Try Gloucester
The Lions are awarded a penalty try from close rang, as they drive towards our line from a line-out and our lead is cut to 8 points.
34 - 26
55' - Try Gloucester Con missed
The Lions have another, striking almost immediately after the re-start with a length of the field effort finished by left winger Louis Rees-Zammit.
34 - 31
Nervous ending.
Sub Tigers - James Whitcombe and Archie Vanes are replaced by Alex Maxwell and Shaun Allsopp in the front-row.
60' - Just ten minutes remaining at Allianz Park and we lead by three points over Gloucester.
62' - Glouscester Pen Missed
64' - Sub Tigers - Kit Smith is in to the game, replacing Emeka Ilione in the back-row.
65' - Just FIVE MINUTES remaining at Allianz Park and a HUGE TACKLE from George Martin and Will Backhouse forces Gloucester backwards and is followed up with a penalty at the ruck our way!
65' - Pen Costelow Missed

Tigers make a big effort of it BUT WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gloucester showed why they have a rep of being excellent finishers and masters of come backs (Scored 3 tries v Quins in the last 5 mins of a game to win it)
