Telegraph article - Cole

Post by Not a jock » Tue Dec 04, 2018 10:01 am

At the risk of repeating an old theme, there are a couple of paragraphs in this article on Dan Cole's propensity to give away penalties:

Fair point or kicking him when he's down?

I thought cole has been getting better in that regard.

The only penalty I remember him giving away v Bristol seemed more like a professional foul preventing what looked like a likely try for 3 points instead during the first half.

For a few seconds there you had me thinking Dan Cole has a new regular column in the Telegraph

I'd agree with that. For me Dan Cole is playing better now than he has done in a couple of years. His discipline has been very good and his scrummaging phenomenal.

A very harsh and unfair article in my humble opinion.

Stuart Barnes in the Sunday Times made a similar accusation of Cole ... but what does one expect from Barnes?

He was trying to sound sympathetic to Tigers' lot (which is creepy enough), but you knew he was gloating ... which I can probably live with.
