The great Phil Vickery actually had a clause in his Gloucester contract that he be allowed to talk to Tigers if we ever made an approach. For some reason we never did and he went on to great things at Wasps.
I saw Marika Vunibaka play

To be fair, Phil moved to Wasps in 2006. We signed Jules in 2003 from Bristol thanks Ellis, and Castro in 2006.

To be fair, Phil moved to Wasps in 2006. We signed Jules in 2003 from Sarries, and Castro in 2006.
We signed Julian White from Bristol.

Yep, kept him dangling while we chased JMH. Eventually Evans gave up and went to Quins.
Considering how much he brought to Quins that has to be considered one of our biggest errors in terms of transfer dealings.

I think Vunibaka did sign for us but was refused a work visa as he was not an international ( sevens not being counted )
So we only got Serevi who had a mixed time.
I suspect they were a package and we actually wanted Marika more than Serevi.
