Sarries cheating! Well bless my old boots, I would never have guessed. There are many devious ways to get round the salary cap, and you can be sure, Saracens know all about them.
How on earth can the honest clubs compete fairly, with this going on? The authorities are a disgrace by not investigating them, and bringing due punishment to bare. Sadly they appear to remain ostriches, and don't look likely to remove their head's from the sand.

The authorities are the Premiership Rugby Board, which are the owners of the Premiership Clubs. In effect the league is self governing. And we are party to that. If nothing or not enough has been done it is in part down to us.Dangerous4 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 27, 2018 8:22 pm The authorities are a disgrace by not investigating them, and bringing due punishment to bare. It is clearly up to the RFU to step in to stop it. Although the Premiership clubs own the league ( with London Irish) they do not own the game and Sarries are bringing it into disrepute by their cheating. The premiership clubs only play the game with the permission of the RFU who can and should sanction them, The premiership could break away of course but then none of their players could play international rugby. At 25 k a game and the honours it brings? Not going to happen.

The RFU probably have no effective powers over the league in these matters.
The clubs are all professional outfits and if the RFU decided to interfere with the structure and function of the premier league the clubs could simply decide to operate according to their own laws/rules.
The RFU may pay some compensation to the clubs but ultimately the players rely on their clubs to pay their wages. Club our country? Could the RFU afford the sort of central contracts that would trump a big club contract?

Nice to see that Daly now linked with a move to Sarries if/when he invokes his opt-out clause. Cap?

He has so much class. We could do with him here, but Sarries are not likely to lose out, should he opt to remain in the game.
