Guy Thompson has a picture of his injury in the DM so any one of a nervous disposition beware.
However I feel we all must suffer that disposition watching Tigers on Friday.
Whilst flicking between Children in Need and BT I got confused as to which was more "in need!"
Get well quickly Guy, I hope there is no infection and studs were checked after. A stitch in time may save a seven.

Might one suggest you forgo the Izal Medicated you first used @ School and go for a soft triple ply Kleenex as used by Madonna that " gets into the groove!"

The gravest danger from a rugby injury at boarding school was having another boy dribble lemon juice into the cut as one slept.AngusMcCoatup wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 11:43 pmMight one suggest you forgo the Izal Medicated you first used @ School and go for a soft triple ply Kleenex as used by Madonna that " gets into the groove!"

If that cut was caused by a stud - what else could it have been caused by?, then clubs and referees must ensure before kickoff that no studs have sharp edges to avoid the possibility of a more severe injury.

TBH I was thinking that, what could cause a cut like that. In the old days that would have to be a deliberate forceful rake with old style studs, vicious. Had a few nasty cuts on back and side of thighs, but that's a different league. Suspicious.Robespierre wrote: ↑Mon Nov 19, 2018 7:30 am If that cut was caused by a stud - what else could it have been caused by?, then clubs and referees must ensure before kickoff that no studs have sharp edges to avoid the possibility of a more severe injury.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Sharp edge of a stud could easily do that with the weight of a player on it. Likewise a piece of glass or even a flint working its way to the surface of the turf.
All seemed innocuous when he went down and seemed rather odd that a player in no major pain needing a stretcher. When I heard them say "Just blood" I assumed they were talking about one of the other players receiving treatment at the time.
However the picture tells its own story. Shouldn't keep him out for too long.

Looks like a 3 stud stamp to me, starting one side and the boot goes down to the other side, it needs reviewing by the Citing Officer!

I would very much doubt the appearance of a piece of glass or a flint there as Gloucester's pitch is new and they are the only team in the Premiership to follow Tigers example of pitch composition after their Management requested feedback from the players. Presumably the ex Tigers advised.

It did look like an "old fashioned rake " to me also, and needs to be looked re. a punishable offence.
