Gloom Doom & Positive Thinking

Post by Traveller »

Just read news of Veainu's injury and it occurred to me that whenever I do my daily glance at the Tigers section of the Leicester Mercury, it always seems to be bad news. Someone is injured. Someone will be out longer than expected. We need to be much better at the breakdown. We need to be quicker out of the blocks etc. I cannot remember the last time I read the Mercury and thought 'fantastic news well done Tigers'.

Meanwhile Saracens announce massive stadium development. Exeter poach Finn Russell. Bristol Eben Etzebeth or Maro Itoje or both. Wasps Israel Falou. Sale Sharks announce multi-million pound investment plan with Goldman Sachs.

So to lift my spirits and keep me optimistic about the future, could anyone with any good news feed into this trail. Just keep it going for as long as you can. Just positive stuff about Tigers.

PS. I hear just Genge tripped over his dog, fell on top of Kyle Eastmond: The dog's fine but both players are going to be out for six months.

Fitz is back, O'Connor is nearly back, the Baby Rhino is back in full training.

Sarrries have some big injuries.

Hogg will be a flop at Chiefs, you heard it here first.

Neither Sale or Saracens developments will make their stadiums comparable with Welford road.
Itoje going no where Estebeth will still be needed by the Boks and injury prone. Filou is a potential powder keg.

With salary freeze on the horizon need to be developing internally which is what Geordan is doing. With Toomua moving on potential of a fully English back line next season

Agree Mark62, the future is hometown and prudent. We might be mid table more these days but we will be there in 10 years. Wasps, Briz, maybe a couple more might not be. And I agree about Hogg. Biggest threat to Chiefs is Chairman going full Napoleon and moving Baxter on.

Or Baxter answering the call and stepping in after Eddie Jones goes.
In my defence, I was left unsupervised….

I'd rather have McCall, considering he's done well in Europe whereas Baxter hasn't...

Really good news, you don't have to read the Mercury and can save your money, two weeks and you can buy an extra pint at Welford Road.

Here you go. Good news!

The hotel has got the go ahead and a car park on the opposite side of the stadium looks very likely happen too, meaning we will generate more income.

Apparently Manu is recovering from an abductor strain sustained in training.
England hope he will be fit to play vs Australia.

I hope that after England have broken him that he is fit to play again for us?
Without hope we are nothing, keep the faith, a Tiger for eternity
