And it's not. The integrity and strength of the surface is maintained by artificial means. The surface is grass but is stronger than a natural surface.

Amount of money in the game I find it so strange that top flight clubs are allowed to get away with these pitches. The sarries one in particular.

And the surface doesn't have a natural strength and resiliency. That's artificial.

A top English International, playing on Saturday,( I met him via my next door neighbour very recently) is very wise to the fact that artificial pitches shorten careers immensely

Thats why he aint signing for Sarries Warriors or Newcastle...

Only just realised that the pitch at Twickenham is a Desso GrassMaster hybrid grass pitch which I believe is the same as the one at Welford Road. See we can do something's right

We might have got the surface right but it's a pity we haven't got the size of the pitch right to allow us to host top games.

Tigers pitch is Eclipse Turf System by Motz

Same concept as GrassMaster i.e., hybrid of plastic and natural turf.

The hybrid surface gives us the best of both worlds, and is certainly the best option for clubs to have a decent all round playing surface.
