My neighbours are not happy about this, they usually go on holiday between the end of the season and the school holidays beginning.
They will have a choice to make, pay more to go away in July or August, continue to follow the rugby and holiday during the season and miss matches, or not follow the rugby as avidly as they have done for many years.
35 matches is still plenty enough for these blokes to get broken, it's as much the way they play as the amount of matches, the two are just a dangerous combination.
The Irish etc playing their star players less is as much preventive measures as managing game time, limiting the risks, it's common sense but I think this isn't really about that, it's about a move closer to a global season.
