I thought Harry Wells was excellent. He put in a massive effort throughout the whole match and was very effective.

It's a bit repetitive and a cop out simply blaming Ford, the backs didn't have a lot to play with as the forwards didn't offer enough in my opinion.
Wells apart I wasn't impressed with the Leicester pack or the scrum half, it was all a bit flat and slow and looked ponderous.
As expected lots of errors but a few potential Sarries stood out for me above others, the 9, Morris, Gallagher, obviously Kpuku and one of the replacement props.
There was a lot of talk about Malins pre-match who despite having some great feet was very poor elsewhere in my opinion.

I thought on the whole Ridley was pretty darn good today minus the horrible breakdown decision he made prior to Saracens half time try.

Well at least some pride in the shirt was shown in the second half. I hate watching games on TV but couldn’t get to Sarries today.
Basic errors are costing us in too many games and the running lines again were poor today.
I am sure Geordan is the right man to be Head coach but still believe we need a quality backs’ coach and Bakewell now has to prove his worth as our driving maul is non existent, hence costing us quite a few 5 pointers!
Most worrying will be the games without George Ford, Ben Youngs, Manu and May as our other backs just lack the ability to open up defences.
Worrying times.

The plus points were that Wells was excellent and Mapalangi and Tuilagi did well when they came on . The starting backrow was truly men against boys .
Considering it was 3 very young guys in our backrow vs 2 internationals (1 world cup winner) and a senior club player I thought they were pretty decent, Reffell and Lewis especially

And will no doubt benefit greatly from the experience

Harry Wells excellent again. Consistent 100% effort and a good bit of dog. Not the most spectacular but excellent again.

Wells is certainly putting his hand up to start with Spencer and or Williams.

Although the result is disappointing the youngsters can only gain from these experiences.
Agree with all the comments about Joe Ford but unfortunately he is there and with George being away with England and Toomua possibly with the Aussies he may have to be at least on the bench
Hopefully Hardwick will start in the premiership games with Harrison and Eastmond either side of him.

On the subject of 10s am I right in saying we have the welsh u18 fly half in tha academy what’s he like.

Veianu instagram showed him icing his leg last night so hopefully nothing more than a bad sprain which I know from experience is very painful

Methinks a lineout specialist coach from South Africa is needed. Initial catch and drive is pretty good but it’s the maul that needs work on.

What do people think about White’s captaining performance?

For me White is quick to the breakdown, his box kicking is way to slow and telegraphed allowing Sarries forwards to get their fingers on them.

His kicks were also to long and he was sold a dummy that gave away a try.

His service is on a par to Ben Young's so it can be slow and inaccurate.

All that said he is young and clearly is very talented and hopefully these weak elements of his game can be improved.

TBH I thought Simmons the better of the two. Thought the team did well.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

It's ok, Ben White has Englands best scrum half Ben Youngs to learn from.
