Not bad Ltt, but I'd much rather have Wilson in my starting XV.Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 1:06 pm So what do people reckon England’s injury free 23 is now? I’d go for:

Youngs Farrell
Te’o Joseph

Re: Autumn Internationals
Didn't think I'd ever say this but I'd definitely have Mike Brown at least in the squad. For all his silky skills, clever lines and tactical kicking, Elliot Daly is pretty poor under the high ball which is a non-negotiable at international level. I'd say the same about Anthony Watson.
If Daly is at 15 when England line up in Dublin then I hope his catching will have somehow improved markedly or Ireland will have a field day. I'd like to think Jones might have more sense than to start a less than solid FB against the side with the best aerial game in the world but he did it last year and Watson got ruined by Ireland. For that reason, I'd most definitely have Brown as an option. He may lack in other areas but he's generally rock-solid under the high ball.
Of course EJ could solve both problems and just pick the best English full back there is but for some reason best known to him he won't pick the super-consistent Alex Goode.

Re: Autumn Internationals
Was thinking for the six nations if I were Jones to play Brown in the two away games at fullback to deal with the bombardment of high balls. We’ll need a rock at the back. Daly or Watson to play in the home games for a more attacking back three. Also would be good rotation for the World Cup.POSTIGER wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 1:48 pm Didn't think I'd ever say this but I'd definitely have Mike Brown at least in the squad. You’ve named two looseheads on the bench there Stephen.Stephen18 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 9:48 pmI’d probably go something likeLeicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Sun Nov 25, 2018 1:06 pm So what do people reckon England’s injury free 23 is now? I’d go for:

Re: Autumn Internationals
My choice, or what I think Eddie will pick?
I'd go with
15. Alex Goode
14. Joe Cokanasiga
13. Elliott Daly
12. Owen Farrell
11. Jonny May
10. Danny Cipriani
9. Dan Robson
1. Ben Moon
2. Jamie George
3. Kyle Sinckler
4. Joe Launchbury
5. Maro Itoje
6. Michael Rhodes
7. Sam Underhill
8. Mark Wilson
16. Dylan Hartley
17. Mako Vunipola
18. Harry Williams
19. George Kruis
20. Billy Vunipola
21. Ben Youngs
22. George Ford
23. Manu Tuilagi
Both impact and control to come off the bench. Yes, Manu can only cover 13, but if he had to come on for anyone between 11 and 15, it would not be hard to re-jig the back line.
That being said, I think Eddie will probably go with
15. Elliott Daly
14. Joe Cokanasiga
13. Manu Tuilagi
12. Ben Te'o

Re: Autumn Internationals
Just backs up my point that Farrell is going to do something like that and get penalised for it at a critical point in the future.BFG wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 9:15 pm Careful not to spill any Irn Bru biffer but...https://www.skysports.com/rugby-union/n ... zen-tackle

Here's hoping it's in the World Cup, that'd be funny.
