This is an article in the Rugby Paper.

Can someone copy and paste, or summarise it here please?

The article will be released in tomorrow's Rugby Paper.

Suspect it mainly about the way Tigers used to play manu, going off Murphy recent interview about wanting to use his speed more than just his power.

Isn’t it great to see Manu playing without the inhibition of the strapping?

I haven't read the article but worth noting that if he had been at Bath he'd have been sacked two years ago by e-mail.
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Not much to see, no new information but just talk for talks sake, it's how they got the best out of Manu before injury problems.

Tigers haven’t been smart under MOC and arguably Cockerill and Mauger too about how to use Tuilagi. They just gave him the ball to run at defenders and that’s how he got injured so much. Is that down to Cockerill not managing him right in the 1st place?

I'm not sure that it wasn't England that first started using Manu as an almost exclusively crash ball player.
When he started for Tigers ( Tigers v S. Africa ? ) and in early games he was often given the ball ( usually fromA Allen ) into a gap or after a half break so again in room. His power was then against a follow up defender and Manu already at speed. Were we asked to change this maybe ?

It's far easier to give a big lad the ball and let him crash. Takes skill to take the ball to the line and put the big lad through the hole, more risk attached and some of our previous coaches weren't keen on that. Ford is brilliant at taking the ball to the line so now he's finally off the leash we should hopefully see Manu charging around far more.

The thing with Manu is when he runs straight at defenders he is likely to be brought down. Sure it will be a big contact but premiership defenders rarely get run over when they have had a chance to line up their weight and shoulder behind the tackle. Ford giving Manu late passes allows him to attack the weak shoulder or an off balance defender and that is where he can burst through when others may not. That is what happened for his try against Newcastle and why I think Manu is looking more effective at the moment.
