I think we need to give Deacon time, people seemed to have forgotten how good our defence was under Brett in the latter part of 2016/17 season.
Formerly of Burbaaage (not Inkleh), now up north at uni

Agreed. Whilst I agreed with the previous poster, I didn't rule out keeping Deacon as defence coach. I just agreed we need a quality defence coach. In Deacon, we may already have one.

Having made the decision to appoint Murphy he should have the support of the board to appoint the team of his choice.

He may feel he has the right team already and just need the opportunity to match their work to the overall strategy and structure he agrees with his coaching team.

Under O’connor I’m not sure neither the coaches nor the players knew what was being asked of them bar boshing. Opponents knew what was coming and most of the stronger teams could deal with that.
