Isn't he away with Scotland at the moment? So I doubt we'll see a signature before the end of the AI's. Looking forward to him coming here though.

It would be a pity if we shoehorned him in at 12 to allow Manu to play. Arguably Jones is the best 13 in the northern hemisphere so if he came in I wouldn’t be surprised to see Manu go.

It would be nice to have three high quality centres and if Jones is as good as that at 13 then it raises the competition for a starting jersey and Manu will have to perform. With Jones able to play 12 and 13 there's then the chance to rotate between Eastmond, Manu and Jones keeping all three in peak condition. Knowing our luck they'll all be injured but it'd be better for the squad to have all three and then the youngsters and a squad man like Owen or Smith.

As it appears that we don’t trust Hardwick at 10 then a better back up than Joe Ford is a must IMO, otherwise we pretty much write off the fixtures when George can’t play.

Let’s not be greedy - Ryan Mills from Wuss would do!

As he's not yet 20 the coaches might feel they want more experience starting and to drip feed him in gently. We all disagree obviously but with the current run there's a lot of pressure on the side and the flyhalf generally shoulders a lot of that.

Sadly we've missed the boat there he was available last summer but then signed an extended deal at Wuss. Would have been an excellent signing.

I agree Mills would have been great. What about Lozowski, he has so much competition at Sarries, but would start every week for us?

Woke up this mornin' feelin' fine
Opened up the paper and what do I find
An piece saying Jones has done a U turn, oh no
Somethin' tells me I'm about to eat humble pie......

Also Hardwick apparently wanting double his current wage and Tigers are not budging, so he is thinking of going to NZ for 6 months then moving to a prem club so Tigers don't get compensation. (Suspect this is just currently Agent talk but I bet the figure is true).

:smt009

At least I have Sarries game to look forward too. :smt010

Will have a chat with some people at the game but I can see both being pretty true based on Tigers recent history.

Suspect it’s agent talk but it does back up the claims he is very arrogant. Well people wanted Freddie Burns back...

I hope this isn’t going ot be another Mafi situation but if Glynn fails to get Jones in then that should really be his cue to leave.

Get OW back as 10/12.
Hardwick is either worth it or not. If yes, then offer stepped increase. If not :smt006

The Rugby Paper referring to Hardwick as Rob rather than Tom may show how much journo work has actually gone in...

Hardwick signed his last contract when he was an development player. That's what 40k? He's now in and around the first team, even when not in the 23 he's in the travelling squad in case someone drops out in the warm up. Bound to want wages that show he's part of the senior squad proper. If we don't give it to him someone else will.

As an aside a few months in NZ would probably do him good if it could be arranged.
