Charlie Ewels would be a massive signing for anyone. Thought he was impressive in the short time he was on yesterday. Saw somewhere 7 tackes in 7 minutes? Surely Bath won’t let him leave...

For once the English bench without exception, well maybe Ford he wasn’t on for long, all made telling contributions. Finishers as Jones likes to call them

34 next October. Two years in Japan I presume. European seasons would be harsh on him and it's not like he hasn't had injury problems.
In other coverage he says he wants his family to experience "other cultures" so I'd say England will not be his destination as it'd be too similar.

Suspect Andy is just pinching Fissler's tweet.

Would be an excellent replacement but he is viewed as Bath's next captain.

Goode’s usually on the money but I think he just said that Ewels was linked not that it is happening.

I suspect Ewels agent is doing the rounds and making Bath sweat. If Bath don't sort the contract soon Ewels will be talking to other clubs and it's not secret we will be looking for second row quality.

Tigers need to go after Cordero IMO.
Covers 15/wing similar player to Veainu and has plenty of pace to go with his footwork and will be available all season.

We need go after him AGAIN, after we messed it up the first time! Would be a good signing and replacement for the aging Thompstone.

While I partially agree Thompstone looked particularly slow last night, with more creative players around him, his route one approach can work if required, similar to what Banahan gives Glos.

Living in Gloucester and having watched them regularly, I agree with you, but in reality he has not been great this year at times, apart from when Gloucesters backline fires and they use him as a different option. This is my point about Thompstone, if you look for creativity or pace from him, that won’t happen, but with that around him, he offers something else.
