I see nothing from the Falcons that should concern us
Unlike last season!
I admire your optimism regarding the bp! I reckon Tigers will win, but doubt if they'll score four tries.
Should be close with Tigers shading it by 5 or 6.

I'll take any type of win as long as the performance improves signifcantly from last week. I want to see evidence of a coherent game plan that the players can and do follow and a vast improvement in the line out, defence, breakdown, ball retention, discipline, passing, catching, kicking and chasing. In fact just do the basics correctly and I believe we have the players to win this.

Incidentally does anyone have any update on Spencer's injury and the availability of Kitchener and Thompson?

I just hope that the team he picks for this and every game is based on performance and not on reputation.

Good to see Spencer start and Guy Thompson involved. Is Holmes injured or not preferred? Greg Bateman vs Logo should be fun!

He played in the A league on Monday so I don't think he's injured

Yes a good side that should win!!

It's a mystery to me why MOC and now GM seem to prefer Thompstone to Holmes (unless he's injured).

Reminds me a bit of Cockers preference for Jordan Crane over TTTE; rumours were that Jordan spent a lot of time washing Cockers car, I wonder if the same applies to AT? I think we should be told!! :smt002

TBF Thompstone is reliable.
smaller pitch so speed won't be that much a thing for him.

Also understandable why Murphy wouldn't want to change too much in his first game in charge.

Thompstone is a good player who's been a loyal servant. But IMO Holmes is a more natural try scorer, runs better supporting lines, chases kicks better, defends well and looks for work similar to May.

But what do I know compared to Geordie!

I would have Holmes in for Thompson, more speed and variety and just as reliable. TTTE didn't play to script - hence why he left unfortunately.

His defence can be iffy TBF at least it has in some of the A league games I've seen.
I would also say with Veainu and May try scoring isn't the biggest need.
