All the money invested in players, we should of hired good coaches instead. Although I doubt Baxter would leave for anything but England.

So poor. Thought Ben Youngs had a poor game but Sam Harrison has made him look good ... are we trying to give Exeter points?

Game has not gone forward at all ... could be a long season.

Weak.

Unfit.

Unprepared.

Uncommitted.

Unimaginative.

Toothless.

Clueless.

Look like a team that went to Exeter expecting to lose and worse still, not actually caring about it - and it hurts to type that last bit.

I'm not sure what's been going on in pre-season - apart from playing your intended starters for about one half of three matches - but I reckon whoever oversaw it should be made to stop, just stop. They're not capable.

A word I've never used about Tigers as far as I can remember - embarrassing. BIG names failing to produce - yet again.

OK, so Exeter played well, but they were allowed to play well, they didn't have to fight too hard for the most part. Our defence was often non-existent and our attack (was there one) was soooo predictable.

6th try just gone in for Exeter....it's the hope that kills you.

Fair point. I've also remembered that Munster match now. Maybe not quite the worst :smt003

Turned it back on......I can't give up on my team...............I can now!

Sorry. First game of the season or not we were virtually at full strength. This is absolute rubbish.

The commentator had it right. Pummeled!

I reckon we're relegation fodder at this rate.

How bad can this get? Exeter look like they are playing a bunch of amateurs.
Nowadays referees decide matches, players by how much.

Lol if you think the Board isn't part of the problem.

Also what game have people been watching? Spencer was 100% an enforcer trouble is he only got fully fit with 3 weeks of pre-season left, and has been rehabbing most of the summer.

All the experience, all the quality players, just wish we had a plan B when things don’t work.

Shocking performance. At no time were we close to scoring. You Simply can’t play MT when he has been in the Southern Hemisphere as a starter.

Haven’t moved on at all from last year - if anything gone backwards
Same net curtain defence (full of holes) and blunt attack 😱

Exeter-Away

Post by milesanderson »

God what a negative performance. Gid rid of O'Connor and Murphy. There is no imagination whatsoever, all the basics like handling , running onto the ball at speed, kicks from the base of the scrum, pathetic!
Ben Youngs kicked the ball back to Exeter so often I lost count and it's all down to coaching , to think we got rid of Cockerill for this lot. We have such talented players who are completely at a loss as to what to do, because their imaginations and improvisations have been squashed by coaches who haven't a clue!

Okay so that was abysmal.
However we won't be relegated like some are suggesting. We got battered by Exeter, not Bristol or Worcester
