As Manu got a ban for his run in with the law, (from memory by the RFU?) I guess he should also get a ban of similar length for this although I've heard nothing about an RFU investigation or hearing?

Be hypocritical in light of the previous Ackerman misdemeanours though!
A fabricated incident made up or at least severely exaggerated by a bloke after some cash.
A friend of mine over here in Sydney has had run ins on tour in Jersey before. Sounds like small town stuff to make a buck.
It appears that it's just a simple case of a glass of alcohol not being allowed off licensed premises versus a case of I want to!
It may be local law, no idea!
Mountain out of a molehill stuff and more butt on show than a sumo match!

Matt Dawson's comments rather different on this case to those on Manu............
To win is not as important as playing with style!

RUG ritual charge issued, by group of people who mostly did far worse in their day. :smt013

I was referring to Ackermanns and their incident earlier this year, sorry I should have made that clearer in my original post.

It seems the glass of alcohol was two bottles of vodka, I think that counts as theft!

Pathetic and weak from the RFU there.

Never pre-empted either club or England coach before, hence Glaws upset.

Exactly, Gloucester absolutely right to question the RFU, I have feeling this scenario is going to be dragged on for a while.

I see Ashton got sent off for Sale Vs Castres as well. He and Kockett both saw red for fighting (each other).

So much for the pundits tips for turning England around this Autumn. Season hasn't even started yet.

The RFU by their action not to punish(not their words) clearly demonstrated what behaviour of a 'role model' ( their words) is acceptable. I despair at the current state of the game and it's governance.

He was found guilty by the RFU but the punishment he as been given by the court and Gloucester RFC was deemed sufficient.

Quite rightly in my view.

Wonder what the sanction would have been had he been a Tigers player?
