Macken must be a done deal then if we’re light in the centres.

Haven't seen any footage but looks like Tait started (?instead of Macken) so was Macken injured; I thought I saw him in the starting lineup?

Tait came on for Eastmond who was taken off for precaution as he suffered bruising somewhere or another. Macken did play.

Given this info perhaps you should predict a starting centre partnership of Tait and Smith for our first proper game as Manu may not have returned from injury and Toomua is away. If Eastmond does recover then he plus any one from Tait, Smith, Owen, Olowofela or Worth would seem viable options.

Well, what a shambles last night, what you could fathom on the YouTube link, a really weak replacement pack, and not much else. WHY are a couple of hasbeens still wearing a Tigers shirt ????

Wonder which Manager will be the first to go, the Welford Road one or the latest jobbie at the King Power ???

Think Exeter in two weeks will sum up exactly how our season will pan out....

The likelihood is that Owen is probably injured, Tait/Worth is the likely option for 12 against Exeter with Olowefela/Macken/Smith at 13.

Not really even if we were 3/3 and playing well I wouldn’t still back us to beat Exeter away.

Yep, I already expect that it will define us until Xmas. On paper we have a great squad, but only on paper, alas. Even without a LBP, a close enough score will be fine (e.g. 20-10). A thrashing (e.g. 50-10) will not.

May as well play Worth at 12 with Olofewela at 13 or Simmonds at 12 (didn't he play there for England U20's?).

Many people want the academy players playing so why not give the people what they want?!

Speculation before pre-season is even complete on whether the Head Coach will be sacked, and predicting the outcome of the season based on the first competitive game?

Wow, you’re quite the ray of sunshine this morning!
