I'm just saying he will be captain if Tom Youngs is replaced as Ford was the player that was captain when Youngs didn't play last season. Whether you think he deserves it or not is irrelevant but of course you can argue the case. I'm not saying you can't before you criticise my every word and then other people jump on the band wagon.

I'd prefer BY but I'd always want my captain to be a forward if possible.

Whoever is captain next season needs to learn how to speak to the refs properly and get them onside. Too many times I feel Youngs didn’t get in the refs good books and rubbed them up the wrong way. Obviously something that can be improved upon.

Going back to the prop debate. We also have Gaston Cortes an Argentinian international who I believe can prop both sides.

As we have ZERO replacement for him as we stand, unless the Board invest in like for like, we wont be at the races.
Exeter will tell us everything in the season's first 80 minutes
We're doomed. Doomed I say.

MOC confirmed we are looking for replacement, and that we do have:

Injury dispensation for Genge.

Space in the cap for more signings.

Expect more to come.

Despite my mild DoomMongering recently, and since I have been offered a new P/T contract, we have renewed our STs. My only disappointment so far has been the Briz match being moved which makes getting there on a Friday night nigh impossible. I am heartened by the news we have room for more signings, as in the light of the To'omua revelations, we may need to rethink the backs on a succession basis - although I expect Hardwick and Olowefela to break through this next season.

I certainly cannot get there on a Friday night. I have other commitments that I have to fulfill first and I suppose other fans will be in the same dilemma.

Does anyone have any new updates on the Eastmond signing?

Toomua's name popping up as captain given recent events is pretty ridiculous.

Lads and ladies, can someone give me the lowdown on Olowefela please? All im hearing is Ibitoye, Ibitoye, Ibitoye but afaik didn't Olowefela outscore him in the U20? Is it the fact that Ibitoye has a better all round game? More likely to transition? Or is it just bias? Thanks.

My 2 cents.

Ibitoye gets a talked about because he is quick and a very strong runner who can produce some excellent highlight vids type videos.
Olowelfa is a more all round player IMO, but his running style whilst fast is very elusive looking as he showed in the U20's and A league games he breaks just as many tackles and has excellent vision.

But neither have really been tested at senior level so it's all speculation at this point.
