Robespierre wrote: Tue Jul 31, 2018 5:33 pm The Rugbyrama website has announced the signing of Samoan prop Nephi Leatigaga (24 years old) with Leicester for a 2 year contract from summer 2019. The article says that Wasps were also interested.
Seems a very good signing to me.
I wonder if he'll be known as Lady Gaga!!

It's taken a while - I heard from SC via a reputable source back at the beginning of May that Ged Glyn had started negotiating for his release - but it'll hopefully be worth the weight! (Yes - that was deliberate!)

I hope that piece is more accurate about Leatigaga than it is about us (says we finished 8th...)

So, Eastmond, what about Feao and Macken, they were both reputed to be incoming?
Was it a case of Eastmond or Macken, and also Feao or Leatigaga?
I'd definitely think we've gone some way to resolving our prop issue if it is both Feao and Leatigaga. Likewise Macken at 13, plus Eastmond as utility outside back, I think we'd have rounded the squad out significantly.

Very interested to see what Eastmond can bring in a Tigers shirt.

Ford, Eastmond, Manu whilst great going forward could easily leak more than they score is my only worry.

I will judge Eastmond by his performances up to Christmas but Toomua going is a real heart breaker.

Just goes to show you can never have an international from the southern hemisphere in their prime as international honours will always come calling.

Great depth now at centre. Will also allow us to rotate the 10-13 positions and not have us rely on just a few players. Ford, Toomua etc won’t have to play every game which should keep things fresh.

Toomua back for Exeter and Worcester games till the end of the rugby championship which I think is mid October.
Would make sense for him to be on the bench for those 2 games and come on at 10 or 12 whichever is needed
