I don’t think we need another one to be perfectly honest. Just use Hardwick and Worth!

Ellis, I have just found out that Toomua has a World Cup clause in his contract extension, surely that explains as to why he signed for an extension with the World Cup in his mind.

You've just found that out? That's been common knowledge for the past few days!

It doesn't explain this though does it?

No mention of wanting to play in a World Cup, he just mentions how he wants a good few years at Tigers.

Well he would have had a good few years at Tigers when he leaves at the end of the season.

This was said in October 2017. We had 7 more months of the season since then. If we are lucky, we will have him for 7 months this season. That's 14 months. I wouldn't call that a few years.

...or even congratulations to that new Sale winger chap - Cashman or something - the one from France!

But on a serious note - no Dan Cole in the England squad. Is that good news for Tigers or a temporary rest for our tighthead?

Update: To answer my own question - Cole, Genge and Tuilagi all on the “not considered through injury / fitness” list. As you were.

Spencer is a top lock and is still very young even tho he looks 40, certainly the sort of enforcer the tigers have needed, surprised to see Olowefela in the squad, Jones must see lots of potential in him, let’s hope he gets some game time at full back or on the wing next season.
I think the signing of Eastmond is top business, if he stays injury free then the tigers are onto a winner, with Owens (again needs to stay fit) Manu, Toomua and Hardwick we now have a good mix at centre and finally some depth. I am sure we will bring in some Southern Hemisphere talent to replace Toomua next season!

Had a top current England player holidaying next door last week for a couple of days.
He reckoned Spencer is awesome
Secondly asked him if he would ever sign for the Tigers and he said '' Well I wouldnt sign for Sarries or Newcastle''
Why?
Well, the synthetic shortens your career ..

Strange how he missed Worcester off the list.

Teo would be a pretty poor replacement for Toomua
