Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2018-19
Le Roux and Hughes have been known for ages. Apparently Hughes is going to Bristol for £500,00 salary. Also rumoured that Bristol are after Joseph and Watson from Bath.
Daly on the other hand would be interesting. Would have thought if he does go to Saracens then surely some players must be leaving or retiring.
Just checked, French hooker, Skelton, Burger, Bosch and Strettle all rumoured to be leaving. That’s a sizeable chunk of cap.

I'd be surprised if Watson headed for Bristol. A lot of back three competition there and he wouldn't be playing his preferred fullback position.Leicestertinytiger wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 10:26 pm Le Roux and Hughes have been known for ages. Saracens will have Bosch retiring in the summer and I think Strettle might have come back on a one year deal.

Tolofua is already confirmed to be leaving to Toulon I think.

Watson signed a new two year contract with Bath recently, Joseph Ito Bristol is a strong rumour amongst the Bath fans, how are Bristol going to afford all these signings and stay within the cap, creative accounting?

Daly to Sarries
Why can't he just wander up the M69 and play at a club with real history and fantastic support........oh yea and one that could be playing in the Championship next year. How we have fallen.

If Dalys off to Sarries, we should be knocking on Sarries door about Lozowski. Yes, he only signed a contract extension last season which probably means he's got about a year left, but would be a great replacement for Toomua.

Or Max Mallins. Plays 10 and fullback, has twinkling feet. Could be a great option at 15 for us.

Wouldn't object to a play for Will Stuart - lots of good comments from the Pests' supporters and a big lad (6'3" and 20+ stone) at just 22.RagingBull wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 9:31 pm Wasps also being rumoured to lose.

I think they were sold a false dream in moving to the Ricoh Arena and it was never sustainable, for themselves financially or their fan base to travel there every week. Rumoured to be on average less than 10,000 per match attending.
Seems like the players have had enough now and could be leaving en mass end of the campaign. Maybe Wade was just the starting gun.
Re: Transfers & Rumours Non-Tigers 2018-19
I suspect they would have overpaid quite a few guys in order to entice them to go to a Championship club, but could have given them contracts that would be expiring after their first Premiership season. Once up and established in the Premiership, they might be releasing a few of their overpaid players and using the money to bring in better players for the same money.
Otherwise, I have no idea. They have a lot of (current and former) internationals on their books, and haven't gone the Exeter route of uncovering Championship players or producing their own players to bulk out the squad with good, cheap options. Even their likely 'bargain' players have been coming from other Premiership clubs (Yann Thomas, Ed Holmes, Harry Randall, Piers O'Conor, Will Hurrell, etc).

Oh yeah, because Wasps are so far ahead of us aren't they?!Soggypitch wrote: ↑Thu Dec 06, 2018 8:18 am Daly to Sarries
