Agree that Lavanini isn’t that far behind and is a world class line out operator, and if that has allowed us to finance Taufua and Liebenberg too so much the better

In general the issue with players of that height and build, and some of these enormous props is that in the modern dynamic game they simply cannot last the whole 80 minutes.

Would much rather have an Itoje sized lock around 6ft 7 and 18 half stone or so

I agree and for all Sinckler and Furlong explosive power ,both are usually blowing out their bums by 60 and have to be replaced. Cole is a cardio machine!

Coley is a medical marvel; plays every game, barely ever injured and doesn't even look tired most of the time.

Lood de Jager announced by Sale...
To be honest I personally lost interest when he had a season ending injury. I think we’d be very wary of recruiting someone who just coming back from 9 months out.

He's a good ball carrier. Saracens have made it so he can last more than 20 minutes which makes him actually useful. Outside of being a big ball carrier he is a bit average other than adding some muscle at scrum time. As a third/fourth choice second row he does a good job.

Sale have confirmed the signing of South African lock De Jager.
Intent on strengthening their pack for next year. Fingers crossed we have a quality signing to come.

Alex Dunbar leaving Glasgow end of season. Currently on loan at Newcastle so his future could be up in the air if the worse happens to them. 28 and still a good player. Won't stay with them if they sadly go down I would think.

Can't see us signing another centre even if he was a bargain, next season we could have Reid, Eastmond, Taute, Tuilagi, Viljoen, Smith, SAR, Thacker plus development players, personally I think he'll go to France or somebody like Worcester or LI

I reckon Thacker might leave, not heard anything, just a hunch.

Chris Jones reporting this morning that an open letter has been written fiercely critical of Natal Sharks head coach Robert du Preez and his selection policy.
Some of the points made include his insistence that his 3 sons are the first name on the team sheet and his treatment of Curwin Bosch

Wouldn't be surprised if he ends up as Sale Head Coach with Diamonds focusing on what he does best as a DOR.
