And he will no doubt have already been paid the majority of that while they weren’t under the salary cap rules

If you look at the majority of Bristol’s signings, it is theoretically possible to remain under the salary cap if they paid Piutau 700 million, which is think is what Bristol claimed to have paid him. But 1 million?

I thought there were regulations to prevent the front loading of contracts? Or did I dream it.....

Even the 'sweep it under the carpet' salary cap investigators couldn't fail to ignore that level of breach......

Maybe it's a cunning plan by Brizzle to declare something so ridiculous that no-one believes it to be true...when it is - hiding in plain sight!

It's not a breach if he's their marquee signing. They can pay him what they like.

Is it? I bet if Tigers had signed him, many on here would be critical we are signing an American Footballer who used to play rugby in a poor USA league.

No I’d be so pleased, did you watch Scotland vs USA. Plus I’m making a tribute on him, which makes his signing to Quins convenient. Plus, he’s actually Kiwi born, only moved to America at 17 and only played 🏈 for two seasons. Plus the MLR isn’t poor, look at how it’s affecting the national team, they’re unbeaten in 2018, beat their first Tier One nation since France in the 1924 Olympics. If anybody were critical, I would completely disagree.
