I’m sorry did you watch our defence in 15/16/17, we were practically inviting teams to score.

As I recall, we had a short spell, ending with Hansen leaving, where our defence consisted of a sprint to shut down possession that left gaps, and no fallback.

Is Harry Thacker the son of Troy, who used to be a hooker for us?

Harry Thacker one of 7 players to sign extensions with Bristol. 3 years in Harry's case.

I still hope to see him back at Tigers one day.
Of all the players we have let go, he is one of 3 or 4 that rankle with me over the last decade or so. A supremely talented player who was pushed out, as was McCaffrey (less talent, great presence and grit)..
I've seen his old man push away even better young players.
Blimey I've seen young players come on for Leicestershire at half time in matches being badly lost who have completely changed the game for the better with some outstanding rugby and then he's taken them off after ten minutes, and then the one's who were losing badly put forward for the Midlands.

Yes the selection process for County is not particularly rosy, the worst thing is some very good ex DPP players (who had quit for valid reasons) were not allowed to trial.

See Ryan's on one of his crusades again! Absolutely nothing wrong with the clear out on Retallick by Snyman, just a rugby accident. He didn't go off his feet and he wrapped his arm.

I've heard a couple of accounts of Troy's academy selection process. It was based more on which school you went to than how talented you were. Probably why he wasn't retained when the academy was reconstructed.

Joe Ford signs for the bankrupt Leeds carnigie as player/head coach! An odd one as they haven't paid their players from last season yet!

A bit before my time but from what I've heard he was very good and very aggressive. Good players don't always make good coaches though, particularly at development level where you have to mentor and coach whilst still being able to step back and make a judgement on the potential for growth.

Worse than that the Yorkshire (Leeds) players are getting letters demanding they pay for medical care received from third parties during the season as the club medical insurance isn't covering the costs because if the CVA. Players who have been released must feel like this is a real kick in the teeth.

Hope for his sake Joe doesn't pick up an injury.
