Rowntree leaves Quins

Sorry to see that Graham has left Quins "for personal reasons". Always a concern for me when they say that - hope everything is OK for him. I did a speech day with him at Guthlaxton many year ago and found him to be a very likable man willing to talk about a wide range of topics.
Hehehehehehehehe

Pure speculation on my part, does he not get on with Paul Gustard? Their time as Tiger's players overlapped.

No, I don’t think so. He lives around the area, he must be away from his family a lot of the time. I think it’s something to do with that in my opinion.

I've heard that Dorian West is interested in coming back to us too!

I think Rowntree might do well doing an academy role again at the club.

That might be his son Jack.... :smt002

I would like Rowntree in some sort of a role with the club, very experienced been part of a coaching setup that has beaten the AB twice and drawn another. That being said not sure where he would fit in, i'm happy with Bakewell and Stanko with the forwards.

Could it just be Graham dropping his son off and having a catch-up with a player that he coached for a very long time?

Academy role? Allow Brett to step up and do the defense?

Why would a coach who has been involved with a Premiership first team, England team and multiple Lions tours want to be an academy coach?

Because some people have no sense of reality. Or they have a sense of humour.
