This one would interest me as I really rated him when he was here - Mermoz is being released by Newcastle but may be heading to France - could do a good job for us. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/rug ... on-1528325

Have you heard that this week? It was certainly still 'on' last Sunday.ellis9 wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 12:41 pmThe Leatigaga signing is off apparently.strawclearer wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 11:47 amSays Cortes is a replacement for Mulipola. We need Mermoz like a bullet in the head. He is rarely fit, injury prone and no doubt expensive.trendylfj wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 1:26 pm This one would interest me as I really rated him when he was here - Mermoz is being released by Newcastle but may be heading to France - could do a good job for us. https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/rug ... on-1528325
We need to improve our persistent
Injury problems at centre not add to them.

I accept he has only played 9 times for Newcastle this season (mainly in the European comp) but he did a good job when he was here (from memory he scored 3 tries I think, including one in his 1st game) and many supporters were sorry to see him go. Don't know his injury record with Falcons or how much he would cost but there are not many class centres available at present and we do need at least one moresapajo wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 4:23 pmWe need Mermoz like a bullet in the head. If Falcons don't want him then we certainly don't . As reserve cover in the centres we need some good young players who have the enthusiasm and keeness to improve . I really don't think that using people like Tait and Smith is a long term solution - sure , they will do a decent job but they are really only 'bed blockers' . The trouble is that our Academy/dev Squad have no Centres of real potential ( Don't think Charlie Thacker will make the grade ) .

Worth has looked perfectly capable at this level during the run in. Got a decent all round skill set and showed some nice composure to deliver the final pass to Holmes for his second try.MikeR wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 5:35 pm If Falcons don't want him then we certainly don't . Hardwick can play 10 and 12 he looks physically ready for a 19 year old. Really impressed Vs Bath where with little ball he gave them the run around and Burns a lesson in the first 40.
Both of them have good kicking games as well which we haven't always had available to us.

Sorry dont agree, feel Worth is one paced, but thats just my opinion.
If he is to succeed, he needs a Personal Sprint Trainer. a la Margot Wells, a probable change of diet, proper full blown GMP standard top quality Nutritional supplements not available in the UK----------- Bournemouth AFC are on them---------- and some luck..

According to The Rugby Paper on Sunday, the player was signed. Later that day, someone said that the deal was off. Remember of course, the paper was printed before Sunday.strawclearer wrote: ↑Thu May 10, 2018 3:13 pmHave you heard that this week? Ok - my info [and earlier post] that Ged Glynn went over to talk to Nephi Leatigaga a week last Wednesday was as a result of the Rugby Paper report. I was told that he’s contracted to Biarittz for another year and that Tigers are trying to get him released.ellis9 wrote: ↑Fri May 11, 2018 8:32 amAccording to The Rugby Paper on Sunday, the player was signed. Nick Malouf confirmed by Bristol live as leaving to return to 7's and hopes to win Olympic medal with Aussie - thanks for a good try to make it in the 15's game
