Re: LEICESTER TIGERS 2018/19 SQUAD/TRANSFERS/CONTRACT THREAD PART 1
Without being melodramatic if Holmes is sent on loan or sold, it would be up there with some bloke saying “it’s fine, it’s a small iceberg and she is unsinkable” whilst looking out the front of the titanic in 1912...Holmes is not just potential he is a proven try scorer. He runs great lines and knows instinctively where the white wash is. MOC would have to come up with some very good excuse if this is true..and the only excuse I can think of is “Holmes is on loan as we have Julian Savea for the next season or two”..
There is never any points for 2nd place...

Julian Savea is not the player he once was either

Savea might of gone off the boil but, still one of the best wingers in World Rugby, just not NZ. He would probably get in most other national teams.
To win is not as important as playing with style!

He/she was literally begging for followers on Twitter this last week along the lines of 'If I get 200 followers I'll post an amazing bit of news!'ellis9 wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 8:12 amIt wasn't a Rugby Inside Line tweet though. Loads of press releases last week saying how he would be in the XV next season and he was looking forwards to being with Tigers next season etc etc

Doesn’t seem like someone who is leaving.
Would be insane to get rid off him. But we all know RIL is a wind up merchant, especially when it comes to Tigers.
Happy days clearing straw from the pitch before the Baa-Baas games! KBO

See Will Evans is in a wheelchair and full leg brace.
Hopefully he will be fine come start of season.

Just to kill this (hopefully), just tweeted JH saying "Expecting great things next season.......no pressure!" which he 'liked'. Don't think he'd have responded that way if if was away.ellis9 wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 8:12 amIt wasn't a Rugby Inside Line tweet though. Yes, Rugby Inside Line were begging for followers but they didn't tweet it. Rugby Gold put the tweet out.strawclearer wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 6:01 pmHe/she was literally begging for followers on Twitter this last week along the lines of 'If I get 200 followers I'll post an amazing bit of news!'ellis9 wrote: ↑Sat May 19, 2018 8:12 amIt wasn't a Rugby Inside Line tweet though. It's a debate that is a non-starter until both up their tactical and technical ability.Rugbyflanker wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 6:36 pm Just had a numpty on DTRR saying Obano is better than Genge! Such a great site at one time
Obano is credited with being a tackle machine but from what I have seen it's mostly double tackles when he looks good.
Genge is credited as being a massive ball carrier but can go off script a bit too much, running a support line in support looks near impossible as you never know where he is going next.
They are both very individual IMO, Obano's big double hits would be better thought out technically with getting over the ball for the turnover instead of trying to look good and Genge' carries could be a bit better tactically thought out in creating space for others.
Also one could do much better at the scrum and the other at the line out.

Watching highlights of the semis last night reaffirmed for me that Guy Thompson is a great signing
So good at going forward and surely didn't cost too much credit wheres its due that is a good signing for me
