Could Adam Thompstone convert to a 7?
Seems to possess many of the attributes.

I like the ‘thinking outside the envelope’ approach...but I think it’s probably 7-8 years too late for him to switch positions! Still, welcome to the forum...and don’t let the occasional grumpiness put you off.

Tigers also have a good first choice openside, a good second choice openside with the potential to be an excellent player and then a development openside with equally big potential. If MOC actually backs the second and third choice players this season instead of playing an 8 there we could be well stocked for a few years.

Just throwing a pebble in the pond really. Thinking that if a winger is no longer first choice then his worth to a club becomes much diminished unless he's got other options to offer. Slightly surprising that Thompstone hasn't ever played at centre for example except in emergency. With his skillset and experience it would be shame for him to fade out the picture or move elsewhere. Mat Tait for example has shown how having several strings on his bow has kept him in demand.
