Looks like he's off to Newcastle? Another one of me favourites going. I hate this :censored: merry go round.

Harsh head on but nowhere near the player he was, someone who could be relied upon to prop both sides and Gengesque in the carry, sadly not anymore, sad but good call imo

Sad but not the beast he once was. Can’t imagine him making the carry that destroyed Nowell a few seasons back these days. Never the most technical scrummager either.

Unfortunately, due to his size a lot of pressure has been going through his legs and he has suffered a lot of angle and leg injuries which means he probably can’t run as fast as usual. However this season he has played well, his scrum work has been excellent and rather him win the penalty try then score the try of the season like he did a few years ago.

Good servant. Will judge this one when I see what we bring in to replace him because Cilliers' body is giving up too.

Before he goes, can we make sure we get 1st refusal on his boys?
That sort of pedigree doesn't come around very often!

Big fella with questionable knees, must be a worry about him playing a dozen or so matches on an artificial surface.

Will be missed but not the force he once was, I assume his twins have already signed pre contract agreements :smt027

Seconded.

Didn't even mind when my missus told him he looked like a sheepdog!

Could we be planning to switch Bateman to TH and use Gigena as the back up LH?

If that were to happen, that would leave us...
LH - Genge, Gigena, Rizzo?
TH - Cole, Bateman, Cilliers?

Not really enough when you factor in Cole and most likely Genge will be with England during international periods. Rizzo will turn 36 as the season starts, and Cilliers has not been the most reliable when it comes to injuries.
Definitely leaves us looking a bit light.

Who's out there and available? Who of the right calibre anyhow??

They have to decide if Bateman is to play LH or TH and let him stay there, switching sides does not help him .

Swap him (Bateman) to hooker and he could well be international material.
