Anyone know the condition of Jonny May? We don't seem to get much up-to-date news on injured players.

Was Wade's "fend" similar to what happened here?

I haven't got the footage anymore and can't fully remember. The fella in the above clip got carded.

If anything, Wade's looked worse than that. Certainly nothing to differentiate between the two to explain Wade getting away with his.

No comparison at all. That chap led with an outstretched forearm into Carter's neck. Wade didn't; the initial contact was normal as he led into contact with his shoulder.

Only one player to blame for May's injury - himself - from a poor tackle! :smt001

Info from someone very very close to JM - he is fine and doesn't see any problems re availability for Bath and onwards.

It wasn’t so much a bad tackle or bad technique as a bad choice - an attempt to wrap Wade up so he couldn’t offload or kick through - we were doing it the whole game to him. But attempting it when your opponent is at full tilt (and that’s some tilt) means things don’t always go to plan and the effect was pretty similar to being in a tilting yard (a joust) without armour.

There isn't much up top in Johnny's head to damage. Proper space cadet.

Edit: some seems to have taken real offense to a comment in jest. It's not like his teammates take the mick out of him for it.....
