Good one. Harry always gave his all for Tigers. We were gutted when he had to stop so it's pleasing that he is happy and fulfilled in retirement.

I think, but for the injury, he would have been considered one of the great 9s in world rugby.

He had the misfortune to gain his international caps in a shambolic England side and was a shadow of his former self after the knee injury.

“I would love to see Tigers with more Leicester people playing for them. You get a lot of people that come and stay for a year or so and then go elsewhere. Maybe that’s the nature of professional sport these days. I would like to see Leicester people playing for Leicester or only-one-club men as it was in the early 2000s.” Harry Ellis

What an article from such a modest man. He was always a favourite of mine and injury is a cruel master. One of the best Tigers 9s without a doubt.

Enjoy your career and look forward to seeing Ellis Jnr in a 9 shirt at Welford Riad :smt023
Hambo :- He was with England when he was injured, but he was a Tigers player, our player. He is still our player.”

A top player for Tigers, badly let down by being played when seriously injured, when rest and good treatment may have prolonged his career.
