I'm curious, why would Haskell (a hugely experienced England international flanker) not be a good signing for a team with one of the worst back rows in the Premiership?
I didn't say that he wouldn't be a good signing!
What I do find sad about it is that a player that Wasps no longer want might be considered better than what Leicester have already got!

Haskell must have been aware that his contract was up and with new arrivals he would be off, so his Agent would be doing a "worldwide search!" So I presume the agents search has not reached the result Haskell wanted and he is using the BBC and the press as a personal billboard for offers.
Haskell at Tigers - NO thanks, expensive, arrogant and I prefer to bring in the youth.
Let him go to Quins and let Roberts settle the scores. :smt042

The Dagenham Girl Pipers would be an improvement on the entire pack currently. Haskell is hardly a left-field choice.

And better than anything Tigers have to offer either now or in the near future.

The Brad Shields signing for next year may have had an influence of this decision as well.

That beats anything said by any Tigers fan, ever.

For me, we have several hard tacklers in the squad already. We also already have several who are brilliant at taking the ball into contact and dropping it and aren't particularly brilliant at passing.

I was merely jesting about the battered in training thing after what's come out in recent times so step down from that Horse! :smt018
I thought you were replying to me, but then you started waffling on about a Horse, and I'm not the equestrian type, so you must be directing your wisdom towards someone else. I'm curious though, what kind of majestic stallion gets to be referred to as a Horse with a capital H? The King of horses perhaps?

I sincerely hope that those responsible for our recruitment have rather different opinions on the teams needs than you do but, judging by the back row we have now, they probably don't.
Im allergic to Horses. Enough of that.

Whaaaat?! Ive been advocating for more grunt in our back 5 for ages. Powderpuff forwards are doing my tree in too you know!

I just don't think Haskell is the solution especially with Thompson + Spencer having signed and the Mafi rumours. I think we can do better. Wasps fans were sore about losing Thompson but don't seem too bothered by losing Haskell with Shields coming in!

I thought we were no longer signing Mafi because his knees were shot. Therefore Haskell would be a good shout.

Pretty sure the Stormers have said categorically they won't be signing him and focusing on youth. Most likely the Sharks.

Wouldn't mind him coming to Welford Road though!

No thanks, he is an Athlete not a Rugby Player. I can't stand his self publicity either, he is like a Social Media Dayglo.

There is not a huge amount wrong with our backrow, if the coaches select a 6@6, a 7@7 & an 8@8.

Haskell isn't a specialist in any position apart from ego.

He's still streets ahead of anything Tigers have.

A lot of people seem hung up on his personality/ego. That's just petty, not to mention out of date.

Such attitude usually boils down to begrudging envy.

I kind of agree on that, but even notwithstanding our decline, it is a reality of a league with a salary cap. I also suspect that, like some of the Tigers who have left in recent years, it's not because his club doesn't want him, but that they have other priorities for salary cap spend.

Play any online Fantasy Team type game with a capped fund and see how difficult it is - you can't have all the best players but have to balance the squad based on priorities in the game.

I was never a fan of Lol, because he got under everybody's skin on the pitch, and Haskell learned that from him. We have been missing someone like that for years, so, if we could get him for the right price, I would welcome Haskell both as a leader, and someone who will get under the skin of the opposition.

We need a Mr Nasty, Like Johnno was to the opposition.
